Microtape 17 – Marimba Nirvana

“Using the Microtape + format, no.17 features a selection of over 115 glissando effects made with a marimba. Most of these have been looped, and vary in length. Both looped and un-looped nki’s are included, with about two thirds of the samples played back at half speed (therefore an octave lower) at 3.75 ips.
For the 3.75ips set, every note from c0 – c6 is assigned a diff wav – configured in an nki as looped, and also in another nki as un-looped. The 7.5ips samples (different slices) range from f0 to c4. In both sets, the higher end of the range features some longer loops and passages.”
